How to Remove a SKU from your Inventory List

Whether you have a seasonal menu that's constantly changing or you simply switch ingredients every now and then, there may come a time when you need to remove a SKU from your inventory list.

Step 1:

Open the Inventory tab on the left side menu.

Step 2:

Open the SKUs section.

Step 3:

Scroll or use the search function to find the SKU you'd like to remove. Then, click the trash can icon to the right of the SKU title to delete this SKU entirely. A warning dialog will appear requesting confirmation that you would like to delete this SKU. Choose "Delete".

What to do if the trash can icon has a strike through it:

If the trash can icon next to the SKU title looks like this, it is because this particular SKU is involved in at least one of your recipe blocks. A recipe block is a set of ingredients that are used for one of your menu items. These recipe blocks help to keep track of your inventory. If you need to remove a SKU from your inventory because you have chosen to stop using it, you will need to remove the SKU from your recipe blocks.

Step 1:

Open the Recipe Blocks section.

Step 2:

Scroll through the list to find the recipe block that uses this SKU. Once you've found it, tap the pencil icon next to the SKU title.

Step 3:

At the bottom of this page, you will see a list of SKUs involved in this particular recipe block. Tap the trash icon next to the SKU you are choosing to discontinue using. Don't forget to press "Save" to save these changes! Then, repeat this process for all other recipe blocks that include this SKU.

Step 4:

Return to the SKUs section. You can now choose to either:

1: Edit the SKU by clicking the pencil icon and unchecking the inventory location (use this option if you will likely use this SKU again at a later date and would like to keep the pricing and nutritional details).

2: Delete the SKU by clicking the trash can icon.
